Monsoon Tip For AC Unit

Monsoon Tips for your Air Conditioning System

Monsoon Tips for your Air Conditioning System

As June makes way to July in the valley, our dry summer heat turns hot and humid. While we might enjoy the occasional rain storm,  these weather conditions can cause havoc on our homes, including the air conditioning system. Here are 6 tips to help keep your A/C running smoothly and keep you cool and comfortable.

  • Change your filter every month.
  • Clean your outdoor unit free from debris and leaves from storms.
  • Have your entire system serviced ideally before the Monsoon season hits.
  • Have your condensate line aspirated before Summer hits, or after the Monsoon season ends.
  • Units should be maintained on a yearly basis by a professional, check freon charges, electrical components, etc.
  • keep all interior bedroom doors open while the AC is running – this allows more air back to the return, which makes your system run easier

If you run into problems or just need someone to come look at your system, call us at 480-969-7500. We would be happy to help.

I like how you mentioned that you should have your air conditioning filter every month in monsoon months. My wife was wondering how often we should change our air conditioning filter. I’ll be sure to change the filter every month.

  2. Thankfully I don’t live in a monsoon area. If I did, I would for sure follow the tips that you have listed here. Cleaning the outdoor unit is probably something that a lot of people overlook and forget to do.

  3. I’m pretty worried about all the bad weather that is going to be coming our way this winter. It’s really important to me and my family that we do everything we can to stay prepared and do everything we can to keep our home running smoothly. I’ll be sure to change the filter every month so that we keep the system running optimally and without issues.

  4. My wife and I are trying to get our AC unit in tip-top shape before this spring. We noticed that our home was really hot last summer, so we don’t want to worry about that this year. It’s great to know that we need to change the filter every month so that it stays in good shape.

Thanks for mentioning that you should change your AC air filter every month. My wife and I live in a hot area and we have noticed a lot more dust in our air. Because it could all be from the filter, we’ll be sure to find someone who can replace it for us!

  6. I’ll be sure to follow your advice and have my AC filter changed every month. I know a lot of people might not understand why this is necessary when preparing for a storm. It makes sense to me so I’ll get the filter switched on a regular schdule.
