A 1/10 of an inch of duct will reduce the air flow of your air conditions air flow by more than 20%. The second important element of your air conditioner which needs to remain clean is your evaporator coil. The evaporator coil is the component which captures the heat out of the air to create cold. When the coil is dirty, the heat exchange is less efficient. Dirty coils also reduce air flow. Dirty in your air conditioner will not only result in poor performance but you will most likely result in costly repairs and premature failure.
3. Health – Indoor Air Quality – Your family’s health is important to you. Clean air is important to your family’s health. The largest filter in your home is your lungs. By properly filtering your air, you create a clean indoor air environment. A quality air conditioning system filter will remove dust, dirt, allergens, pet dander, hair, bacteria, and viruses.
